With much anticipation during the event, the 2016 presidential election has ended, to the dismay of many in ‘Iolani, in favor of Donald Trump. Clinching critical swing states such as Michigan and Wisconsin, Trump managed to defeat Hillary in an astonishing 276 electoral votes to 218. In addition to Trump winning the presidency, Republicans have also managed to secure a majority in the house and senate, to create a Republican dominated government for at least the next two years.
